Wirral Coastal Walk

The Wirral Coastal Walk took place on 22nd May 2011, and raised a total of £2,415.50 Although it was a blustery day, it remained dry and sunny.

A big thank you to all who took part.

Carers Week

We were supported by Sainsbury’s stores in both Neston and Ellesmere Port, who kindly invited us into their stores to raise awareness of Carers throughout the area.

We wish to thank Sainsbury’s for their kind invitation.

30 years of Crossroads Care in Wirral

We celebrated 30 years of Crossroads Care in Wirral by inviting friends and guests to St. Luke’s Church in Hoylake, where we were joined by, and entertained by Hoylake Trinity School Choir and Orchestra. The staff and children put on a superb performance of song and music.

We raised a total of £440 and wish to thank everyone for their kind donations.

North Cheshire Classic Car Club

During the year North Cheshire Classic Car Club arranged a number of events, with funds raised being donated to Crossroads Care.

In July, we enjoyed an evening of entertainment by several local musicians at the Hinderton Arms, Neston, including Red Voix, Debbie Jeffs, Hip & Harmony and Maghan Zassie.

The Sheriff of Chester, Councillor Reggie Jones opened the event, which raised a total of £525.

In August our stall at their Classic Car Show, held at Foxes Riding School, raised a total of £115.

North Cheshire Classic Car Club was formed in April 2009, and the meetings are held on the last Monday of each month, from 7.30 onwards, at The Hinderton Arms, Neston. Annual membership is £10.

We wish to thank David France, Club Chairman for organising these events on our behalf. Dave can be contacted on 0151 336 5410 or e-mail david.france@hotmail.co.uk

Jams and Pickles

We could not write an article about fundraising without adding our sincere thanks to Pauline Kitchener, one of our trustees, who toils tirelessly making her wonderful preserves which she sells to raise funds on our behalf.

This year, Pauline’s jams and pickles have raised the grand total of £1,211.65
