How you can help

Adults & older people’s service

Crossroads Care has been looking after carers needs for over 30 years. By providing 1:1 support to those they care for it enables the carers to take a break from their caring responsibilities. By having time to themselves carers can access their hobbies, other interests, go back to work or even back to education.

We provide carer support workers who are trained to a high standard  and hold a current CRB.

All our staff are trained in assisted mobility, medication, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding of vulnerable adults and many other subjects.

All carer support workers will be able to undertake basic tasks competently.

  • bathing in bed / bathroom / chair (to include aspects of personal hygiene)
  • assistance with management of continence of bladder and bowel, in appropriate ways,
  • assistance with dressing and undressing, choice of clothes and personal appearance
  • assistance with mobility and transfers, including getting in and out of bed, in accordance with the mobility assistance policy & procedures
